Se anunciaron las nominaciones a los Premios Oscar.

La 82da. entrega se realizará el domingo 7 de marzo, en Kodak Theatre de Hollywood, y será transmitida por la señal de cable TNT a partir de las 22.00 hs.

"Avatar" y "Viviendo al Límite" encabezan las nominaciones (9 cada una) a la prestigiosa estatuilla

La película argentina "El Secreto de sus Ojos", de Juan José Campanella, nominada como "Mejor Película Extranjera"

El martes 2 de febrero a las 5.38 de la mañana, hora de Los Angeles (10.30, hora de la Argentina), la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas (A.M.P.A.S.) dio a conocer las nominaciones correspondientes a la 82da. Entrega de los Premios Oscar, que se realizará el próximo domingo 7 de marzo en el Kodak Theatre de Hollywood. La ceremonia, que será transmitida -por séptimo año consecutivo- por la señal de cable TNT, será conducida por Steve Martin y Alec Baldwin.

En un evento realizado en el Samuel Goldwyn Theater, los encargados de comunicar las principales postulaciones fueron Tom Sherak, presidente de la entidad, y la actriz Anne Hathaway, nominada en el año 2008 por su protagónico en la película "Rachel Getting Married". Ante 400 representantes de medios internacionales, ambos anunciaron 10 de las 24 categorías, de las cuales cabe destacar que este año el rubro para "Mejor Película" tiene 10 candidatas en vez de las habituales 5.

Ésto marca el retorno de una tradición de la Academia que había acabado en 1943. Este cambio permitirá a los votantes reconocer e incluir algunas películas que de otra manera no serían consideradas, pese a sus notorios valores artísticos.

Liderando la lista se encuentran los filmes "Avatar" y "Viviendo al Límite", con 9 nominaciones cada una (entre ellas, Mejor Película, Mejor Actor, Mejor Dirección, Mejor Guión Original, Mejor Montaje, Mejores Efectos Visuales, Mejor Sonido y Mezcla de Sonido y Mejor Banda de Sonido Original), seguidas de cerca por la última producción de Quentin tarantino, "Bastardos sin Gloria", con 8. "Amor sin Escalas" y "Preciosa" aspiran a 6 estatuillas, mientras que el filme de animación de Disney/Pixar "Up: Una Aventura de Altura" se destaca con 5 nominaciones.

George Clooney ("Amor sin Escalas"), Jeff Bridges ("Crazy Heart"), Morgan Freeman ("Invictus"), Colin Firth ("A Single Man") y Jeremy Renner ("Vivir al Límite") se disputarán el premio a Mejor Actor Principal, mientras que en la categoría femenina harán lo propio Sandra Bullock ("The Blind Side"), Helen Mirren ("The Last Station"), Meryl Streep ("Julie & Julia"), Carey Mulligan ("Enseñanza de Vida") y Gabourey Sidibe ("Preciosa").
